Kindred Elite is the brainchild of property experts and TV presenters Scarlette and Stuart Douglas.
The concept is simple; Scarlette and Stuart use their eye for detail and expert knowledge of property development to unlock the hidden potential in your current or future home.
Kindred Elite is the culmination of their experience working together in property development, interior design and renovation over the years. During this time the siblings have carefully curated a multi disciplinary team of design and build experts. These range from tradesmen, structural engineers and architects, to independent companies who supply high quality kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, flooring and furniture.
Kindred Elite also provides an in-house building regulation and planning application service to ensure that each and every client receives a bespoke package tailored to their specific budget and requirement.
Since collaborating as Kindred Elite, Stuart and Scarlette have worked on numerous projects and continue to transform uninspiring properties and spaces into visually striking masterpieces.
Scarlette Douglas
Scarlette embarked on her first design and build project at the age of 25. As a self-employed performing artist on the West End stage, it was all the more important that her finances were protected and could be securely invested. As such, the proposition of a joint venture in property design and refurbishment, with a trusted and experienced family member was one that she could not refuse.
The collaboration began and proved to work perfectly. Stuart’s experience allowed him to focus on structural, architectural and internal changes, whilst Scarlette used her artistic and creative flair to design inspirational interiors.
Within two years they had developed several properties together. Their meticulous, experimental and innovative approach to developing became recognised and renowned in the design and build industry. This was further endorsed when Scarlette was offered the role of lead presenter on popular Channel 4 show, ‘A Place in the Sun’. She now travels around the world assessing a diversity of homes to present to prospective buyers. Not only has this enhanced her knowledge of international markets, properties, designs and architecture, it has also led to her winning best presenter at the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA) and the Black British Entertainment Awards (BBEA).
Stuart Douglas
Stuart stepped onto the property ladder in 1999. As a young professional footballer he was advised to invest in property, so he bought his first home, a converted hat factory in St Albans at the tender age of 21. He redesigned and refurbished the property and lived there until he was transferred to a new football club. Upon marketing the property, it quickly sold for a substantially increased price. This proved to be a watershed moment for Stuart, the affirmation of his true talent in property design and renovation.
Whilst his football career was his primary focus, Stuart continued to buy and develop properties in the locations of the football clubs that he played for. During his career he acquired and refurbished several properties. This nurtured and enhanced his expertise in property development and improved his project management skills.
He developed every property to his exacting standard, with each refurbishment more detailed than the last, each design more intricate than before. His network of industry professionals increased with each build and over the years he assembled a portfolio of unique, creative and desirable properties. Foresight and future planning combined with his passion for design and build enabled him to make the smooth transition from successful professional footballer to successful property professional.
His ethos is simple; be creative, be imaginative, be innovative.
